Hunter's Moon, or sometimes the Blood Moon, 

gets it's name from Hunters 

who tracked and killed their prey 

by Autumn Moonlight,

stockpiling food for the Wynter ahead.

It's also a great time to give 

thanks for the Animals and Plants 

that died to allow the balance of nature to be maintained.
