China Glaze in LightHouse

 Around here, we would call this Mardi Gras Gold!

either which way,
this Golden Yellow nail polish
is the CoConut of the Parade.

It is a sheerish polish
with a super fine glaze GLiTTer.
2 coats are a lovely day color,
3 coats is a dramatic day or night color,
deepening to a rich Gold.

It really is just
such a HaPPy CoLoR!

the WaFFLe MaKer....

 or how to save almost $3 bucks per box of Eggos.

My Blu man LOVEs the Waffles.
Thanks to the explosive hiking the prices of food we need,
I've really been watching the Groceries with a tight eye.
A box of 10 Eggo Waffles went from approximately $1.47 to $2.67.
After taxes, you might as well say, $3.00 a box.
That's way to much.
So, we bought a waffle iron.
For $10 we bought the cheapo iron.
Pankcake/Waffle mix is about $3 a box.
We test ran the Iron today.
BriLLianT!!

It takes approx 5 mins to whisk up a bowl of fresh batter.
You can make it the night before
and put the batter in the fridge
for the next morning,
or go ahead and griddle up
the whole batch and freeze the overage
{Thank you Ms. Betty for that tip!}

It took a few WaFFLes to get my fillage right!

Add Fresh blueberries, strawberries, and jams, jellies, and syrups {homemade is so rad!}
The possibilities are so varied, it will never get old.

Golden Perfection.
These were pretty decent WaFFLes.  More like a Pancake WaFFLe.
By going back to making things from scratch,
I am using more of my basic staples
and not wasting so much from non use.
The kids love the homecooked stuff,
and its making great memories for them, like it did for me.

Two SiSter's Mary ThoughT for the Day

 The Eskimos had 52 names for Snow because
it was important to them;
there ought to be as many for LoVe.

Brown Sugar cOokies

When making the Oatmeal coOkies
a week ago,
The BabyGirl asked
if they had Brown Sugar cookies,
and we found out,
yes, yes they do.

So we made them.
It's another simple recipe, and quite tasty in a subtle way.
It definitely tastes like a sugar cookie, with a hint of snickerdoodle.
Dark Brown sugar is used in this recipe
and I thought it would have had a heavier taste,
maybe similar, in a loose way, to molasses.
It's perfect with coffee, I know that.

Since we've started making our own cookies,
the Womb Fruits hardly touch the store bought stuff.

This is the recipe we used.
We rolled out balls of dough
and then gently flattened them,
instead of spoOnfull drops.

Next time, I'm also going to double the Spices and see how that tastes.

PrisciLLa's EarThLy DeLights

 I fell in LoVe with these cardboard GLiTTeR Bird ornaments
{Priscilla says: Everything is better with GLiTTeR, Sugar!
Who doesn't want to shine??}

This one is extra special ~ the head pops off
and you can stash a treat inside!

I'd like to get a Pink One, and a Blue One to compete a personal set.

If this Byrd could talk, oh the stories it might tell....

February FuLL moOn ~ Notions, Potions, & a bit of Magic with OtteR

Notion:
 February finds a lot of PeePs in a down home funk,
 especially if there's no significant Other.

No! No!
You really must learn to LoVe Thy Self first.

Full moOn baths are the simplest, loveliest,
and round~all way to work a bit of Magic.
White is your round~all CoLoR;
it's best for cleansing and realignment.

Pink represents LoVe;
not just LoVe for Others,
but LoVe for Our Selves also.

Honey is all kinds of LoVe
used to sweeten the pot!

{Full moon to new moon ~ waning ~ getting smaller}
 You want to make the binds and obstacles
disappear, to shrink and fall away.

Potion
*************
Pink Candle
White Candle
Roses {dried or fresh}
a spoonful of Honey
a Bath
Soft Tunes: New Agey, Nature, Harvest,

plus a good imagination,
for You're going to play with Otter!

a bit of Magic:
*************
On this FuLL mOon night,
prepare a bath.
Fill your bath with warm water,
add the Roses and Honey
let it sit for a few minutes to dissolve.
Light the Candle{s}.
Start music.

Submerse your Self in the water.
Chill and visualize.
Steady your Breathe,
making the breathing
rhythmic and comfortably slow.
Concentrate on your breathing
and as you do,
visualize your Self
by a lake.

Otter comes to you and invites
you into the water.
There is no Fear.
Take a fun filled adventure with Otter,
relax, and let the truth come to you.

Visualize play time with Otter.
Dashing and swirling through the Water,
floating on Your back,
sliding,
energy begets energy.
You need to become a playful child
to stop your addiction to worrying.
Worrying puts up those obstacles.

Let the Roses infuse you with LoVe
Let the Honey sweeten the energy,
both inwardly and outwardly.
You can then visualize all this energy
into actual energy
to accomplish your goals.

Otter also helps you see truth.
Be Honest with your Self
and many obstacles have a way
of working them Selves out.

Being serious doesn't mean letting go of the fun.
Being wise knows when you need to have fun.

Bring your play time to an end.
As you walk onto shore
Say a word of thanks,
and put your new energy to good use.

Rinse off in cool water and feel the newness!

The Shark...Vacuum, that is.

The Turkish Mother scores again!
We love Sharks at our house, but The Self loves this one even more.
Any good hostess will want her house to look nice,
and inviting when One is entertaining.
This machine makes fluff out of the dirt stuff.
I could like, do military gun maneuvers with all the parts.

It's lightweight,
has powerful adjustable suction,
bag-less,
swivels,
Basically I can knock out my whole house,
in an average of 30 mins,
and that includes using the hose for baseboards and doorways.

It breaks down into various formations
to make any cleaning a breeze.

It also came with accessories for cleaning pet hair
{with 3 cats and hardwood floors: yeah, we need that}
and this spiffy
Dust away Attachment
ooooh Faaaancy
which is really just an electric dust mop.

I use mine everyday, sometimes twice.
It is worth every penny The Turkish Mother spent,
and of course it's worth it to Me,
cause, it's mine!

HeLLs Yeah.
chompa chomp chomp...

CRaFts from Around the CoRner...

 I LOVE CoFFee Cans! {along with TomaTo Sauce cans}
I don't hoard them,  but I sure use them.
Here's some really rad things to do with those big ass Coffee Cans.

I especially LoVe the Hanging Light project.
I would make some with Single cans also.
These would be perfect for my Studio.

so here's Curbly, with our 'round the corner craft...

One another great project are Can Stilts for the kids.
