Two SiSters Mary Thoughts for the Day ~ May

Beltane
A Celebration of Wild Flowers, Bon Fires, and Pretty ribbons,
dancing around.
May morning is a magical time for Wild Water
{dew, flowing streams, and springs}
which is collected and used to bathe in for Beauty,
and to drink for Health.

Women traditionally would braid flowers into their hair.
Men and Women alike would decorate their Bodies.
Beltane marks the return of Vitality, of PaSSion.

A perfect time to bake or buy a fresh loaf of bread, a jar of honeycomb honey, a round of cheese, and have a evening picnic in front of fire.
Don't forget to wear flowers in your hair...

"Sultry evening
  the curtain sways slightly
  Scent of gardenia"
  ~  Victor Gendrano 3

"In springtime,
LoVe is carried on the breeze.
Watch out for Flying Passion
or Kisses whizzing by your head."
~ Emma Racine de Fleur

"Face of the spring moon ~
 about twelve years old,
 I'd say."
~Koyobashi Issa

"The May pole is up,
Now give me the cup;
I'll drink to the garlands around it;

But unto those
Whose hands did compose
The glory of flowers that crown'd it."
~ Robert Herrick, The Maypole, 1660

"Every year, back comes Spring,
with nasty little birds yapping their fool
heads off and the ground all mucked up with plants."
~ Dorothy Parker
