I found this on a fellow Bettie Blogger's site yesterday.

 These Robot Cuff Links.
They would make really cool earrings {with different backings of course!}
and from there I found from the same shop a Tie Tack that I would totally wear as a BrOOch.

ToTally!

Moving on I found these Pewter Charms from another shop.
I believe the Tie Tack is My Favorite.

Remember the Robot dance?

The Iron Giant

With Hurricane season upon us, here in the South,
We get a lot of hazy hot days
with bursts of {usually} late afternoon showers,
only for the sun to come out and
bake that rain into a labor~breathing humidity.
Like today!

Which means The Womb Fruits might be stuck inside....sigh.
No forcing them out until lunch;
No yelling at them that they better have an arm missing
to come back in the house
{but don't get blood on my newly mop & glowed kitchen floor!!}

Having one of those days?
I'm Lucky.
My Womb Fruits are fairly easy to please,
so on days when they have to sit inside
and wait it out,
here's a great! movie to pop in.

The Iron Giant
I LoVe this movie
The Chuck Man even LoVes this movie.
So do the Womb Fruits.

Its beginner Sci~F;
It has a RoBoT;
Its Cartoonimated;
Its Funny;
Its heartwarming;

ITS GOT VIN DIESEL AS THE GIANTS VOICE!!
{Rock ON! }

So don't sweat it.
Turn it into an AfternOOn~with.the.works~Family Movie Holiday.
Throw in some ChoCoLate milk,
air~popped PoPcorn,
a couple of Twinkies
and You have it made in the shade;
well, a/c anyway.

What do you have to lose ??

Afterall,
the Mop and Glo isn't dry yet!

Turkish Ice Cream sandwich...Out.of.this.WorLd~

  ok, so its just really damn good.....and delicious.
Many of the things I delight in are Turkish;
Turkish Delight being one of them.
But that's for another day, another bloggy spot.

Today is the Turkish Ice Cream sandwich.
That's what I call it anyway.

It's this HUGE wafer disc, about the size of a plate,
and is layered with a thin thin layer of sweetened tahini

You break it in half,
add Ice Cream to one half,
Squoosh the other half on top,

and you have
Turkish Ice Cream Sandwich.

I'll never forget the first time I saw A Turkish Lady eating one.
She had like, 3 or 5 different {small} scoops
of Dondurma {Turkish ice cream}
on this wafer disc.

I was, Fascinated!

Dondurma is the name for Turkish Ice cream, and is thicker and chewier than ours.
The Flavors taste real, not added.

Since I don't have access to Turkish Ice cream
{but is one of three we will be trying to make this summer}
I used regular Neapolitan.
and only two scoops!
I rarely get to feast upon these, once every year or two.

Today, I splurged. I indulged.
Was it worth it?
Damn straight.

Cherry Vanilla Ice Cream, Wings, and Lightening Bugs

Time wise, this is the first day of  SuMMer.
Weather wise, it started two wEEks ago
Spiritually Nature wise,  its in a few wEEks.

Three things are powerful snap backs to SuMMer for Me,
plain and simple {as were my SuMMers}

CheRRy VaniLLa Ice Cream

the band Wings

and
Lightening Bugs

Two of those are even more powerful for they are powered by LoVe,
and memories of  The Coolest Grandma.

She loved CheRRy VaniLLa Ice Cream,
 I clearly remember sitting under Her carport, on the steps eating it.
I remember the Light bouncing through the Leaves
and Lisa Bell was there.
I wasn't to fond of the ice cream, but I sure loved the CheRRies.

the band Wings is pretty much the band that is my childhood.
Every song reminds Me of some moment in time.
Sure there are LOTs of others but not whole albums like wings.
{Saturday Night Fever and Grease were late 70s
more late elementary for me, Kuwait and Turkey}

then, there are ...the Lightening Bugs.
Fireflies.
It saddens me that I no longer see them.
That I cannot go into my backyard and capture a mason jar full,
be mesmerized, and then let them go.
WE don't have any.
I've also noticed how I no longer see stinging caterpillars,
and the dragonflies have changed colors.
I believe its because they spray for mosquitoes and it also kills other insects.

  The Coolest Grandma's favorite memory was
from a night I spent the night with her as a child.
We lay in bed talking, and this Lightening Bug walked across the ceiling.
I remember Her pointing it out, and we just laid there,
talking and watching the Firefly.
She always talked about that.
I've started a painting a dedication to that,
and one day, when I'm finished, I will post the pictures.

So yes, this is the first day of SuMMer, time wise.
Great things to look forward to:

perhaps making CheRRy VaniLLa Ice Cream from scratch;

Finish the Painting;

andofcourse!
Wings on the radio.

FuLL mOOn ~ May ~ Flower Moon

  Flower mOOn

In most areas, the Flowers are abundant everywhere.
Thus, the name, Flower mOOn.
Other names include the Full Corn Planting Moon, or, The Milk Moon.

The energies around this moon are ones of
Health, Romance, LoVe, and Wisdom.
You are encouraged to begin action on things we've recently been planning.

Time to Celebrate!!!

The May full moon is a time when we begin to really notice more light in our lives.
The days are longer, the grass is green and the flowers are starting to bloom.
The energy at this time is playful and light, energetic and buoyant.

If you want to really celebrate this moon and the energy it brings,
you can do fun things like host a pot-luck with a spring theme
or visit your local elementary school and volunteer during art class.
{That sounds familiar!}

If you are looking for something more “magickal”,
light a green candle and meditate on your thankfulness for the feeling of renewal.

Personally, my favorite night time flower is The Moonvine or Moonflower.
Its in the same family as the Morning Glory, but blooms at night.
Very Enchanting.

Priscillas Earthly Delights ~ 10

  This time Priscilla is giving back.
{wink}

For our anniversary
The Chook Man totally scored some righteous Man~bath supplies.

Who da Man?
He da Man!

He's interested in Musk, and I've been wanting to buy him Kiehls Musk.
I've consistently heard good things about them.
For the Trip, the treats included the Scent, the Body Cleanser, the Lotion.

Free Samples, too....which is always a Plus!

In our foray to The Mall for My Treats, We a~spied the Kiehls counter right across the aisle.
Having already enjoyed their products, He added to it.
The Shave Cream,  The Close Shavers, and a Facial Fuel.

omg. The layering is just Heavenly.
Makes a Man smell good!

He is thoroughly enjoying them all.
As am I.

My Man, The Chook Man
{Chuck does all my stunts}
...after all,  what Man doesn't LoVe a little show of appreciation?

{I also make Him flex his muscles for Me.}
I know, right?
