Calendar days...

Every year,  I wait until after Christmas to snag my Calendars. 

You are basically getting anywhere from 2 to 3 for the price of one!

I picked these two.

I pick ones that make me Happy.

Cause, I need to be Happy when I'm paying bills...

I also like to purchase a new set of pens or markers 

or writing instruments with some value of whymsical to them, like,
a nice assortment of CoLoRs.

 I'm using a Bic Cristal pens cause I'm totally grooving on the Pink one!

Unfortunately neither has the mOOn phases.
I'm thinking I will use the stickers from Ugly Dolls to mark those days.
Although, I should probably just go buy one with.

I make a Ritual out of transferring all the Vital Info
from one calendar to another.
We are talking candles, incense, and playlist....hells yeah.
What better way to infuse that gOOd EnErgy into your New Year???

• Full Worm Moon – March 
As the temperature begins to warm and the ground begins to thaw, earthworm casts appear, heralding the return of the Robins. The more northern tribes knew this Moon as the Full Crow Moon, when the cawing of crows signaled the end of Winter. or the Full Crust Moon, because the snow cover becomes crusted from thawing by day and freezing at night. The Full Sap Moon, marking the time of tapping maple trees, is another variation. To the settlers, it was also known as the Lenten Moon, and was considered to be the last full Moon of winter.

Burn a grEEn candle and a Beeswax candle for Prosperity, Fertility, and Nature.
Place some sEEds, or Fern fronds along with the candles as an offering for a healthy Garden.

Hello, Monday.

Today is my brothers birthday, He's 10 1/2 months younger than Me. We are actually twins right now!! and its a really grand thing that I love him.
Otherwise, I might just have to duct tape him to a tree somewhere and leave him.  

After deciding He wanted banana cake three days ago, 

and Me buying the supplies two days ago, 

He switches to pineapple upside down cake one day ago...... 

Now i have to go to the store today, again.

The Blu~man has a Literacy night for tomorrow night, which also happens to be his birthday. Which means I'm also making cupcakes. AND a Costume.


Strawberry cupcakes with chocolate frosting {we're going the Duncan Hines route this time} for his class tomorrow.  His party is Saturday, of which he wants a banana cake. That ones from scratch.

They are basing Their costumes on one word, and You have to use something around the house. Easy enough.....I have PLENTY of supplies.

Not only is the oven cooking, so is Priscilla. 

The heat is on, and I ain't singing Dixie heat. 

Ok. So first thing ~ make a to do list.

Do.Did.Done.

Breathe.

Breathe again.

Laugh.

Evil scientist, Sugar fairy, doesn't matter just laugh.

Put on EyELiner & Lipstick
{I rather fancy a soft glittery pink lipstick, makes me feel YummY}

Open windows, crank up the attic fan

TUNES!

Incense and candles.

Now, We're cOOking!

On to the baking...

First things first ~ Cupcakes and Cake.

Pineapple upside down cake.

Done.

Cupcakes.

Done.

Bring cake to said Brother's house, and eat.

Done.

Costume.

Done.

This is my brother's birthday present.

He gets one every year for his birthday and for Yulemas.

 Feeling satisfied and accomplished, I settle down for the evening. G'night.

Goddess Beauty Ritual

A mini~Spa Holiday! 

One of Mine favorite Friday things to do, 
is the GoDDess Beauty Ritual.
Friday is ruled by the planet Venus.
Venus is the GoDDess of Beauty and LoVe.
What better day to honor Your Beauty! 
and show a little Love to the Self.

I go all out too!
Most of the time, I have Friday's to My Self. My House becomes my spa.

I set about getting everything ready:

*Music! ~ Srsly! it could be anything from Hard Rock to New Age
*Candles
*Incense ~ Rose is a Fantastic incense to burn.  
*Book

I bring out the Beauty Basket for any other things I might need, 

depending on what I am doing. 

The Beauty Ingredients can be anything:

*Green Clay
*Almond or Pomegrante oil
*Sea Salt ~ coarse for Baths; fine for Body Scrub.
*Apple Cider Vinegar ~ great for rinsing hair/scalp;
  removing buildup.
*Rose water ~ besides the subtle scent, it really adds Shine!
*Baking soda ~ great in the fOOt bath.
*Powdered milk ~ pedicure or bath
*Witch hazel ~ I prefer Thayer's Rose. sometimes Lavender.
*CoCoa ~ yes, even CoCoa if I'm in the moOd to make my own 
  Chocolate mask.
*Montagne Juenesse beauty products ~ great facial masks and 
  pedicure treats
*Chocolate ~Valentine heart boxes are divine for this.
*Nail Supplies
*Lotion like CoCoa Butter or Kokum Butter


One of the best tooLs I have , is The Magic Bullet Blender, that The Turkish Mother gave Me one year for Yulemas. The small cup that comes with it is the bOmb! for mixing up one's own Masks.

makes it smooooth like buTTah.....

My hair dryer! {the one that makes you look like a mushroom}, is wonderful when you want to do a hot~oil/deep conditioning for your Hair. Its like being in your own little pod~pocket of meditative state. I completely embrace that cool solitude~ness.

I fancy keeping as many of my Beauty products in clear glass bottles and jars, as I can. The older the better, when I can find them in good shape. Fill them with Oils and Powders, various sundries.....It's like a piece of art.


Steaming my face has been a Beauty Ritual of mine since middle school.
Usually, I will use plain water; other times I may throw in a handful of Herbs:

Chamomile

Lavender

Rosemary

Lemon

Your mini~Spa Holiday can be 

as simple as steaming your face and doing a mask 

to an all out, head to toe, I've got a date with The Man tonight, spa session.

Really, the most important thing 

is having the time uninterrupted. 

PRIVACY.

You'd be surprised at home little time I have 

even though I work at home.

SOMEONE is always coming and going.

I can relish the effects of The Man appreciating My best to look good...

I just don't want him to see it! 

Takes all the Mystery and Magic out of it.

 I have an inordinate amount of LoVe for Rituals.

My Rituals are vital to the whole process of whatever I'm doing.

I feel naked without them.

They center Me,

allowing Me to connect to My Achievement. 

Candles

Incense

Music

Simple Offerings

Me

all mellowed together for a fine time!

Altars

I've made an altar out of everything, random and not.

I once put a tiny gift inside a tiny blue eggshell, and left it at the gateway of The Two Trees.


I have drawn a Heart on a flat stone and thrown it into the middle of a Lake.


I have danced Naked around a Fire.
{verra exhilarating!} 




It's my connection to my Inner Self that I want to express, 
and so that I do not forget the things that are important to Me.

FuLL mOOn ~ January ~ Wolf Moon

  Wolf Moon

Tonight is Januarys Full mOOn also known Wolf Moon. Native Americans refer to this winter moon as Wolf Moon for this is when the wolves are close, hungry, and howling, outside the warm homes of the villagers.

Supposedly, it's also the brightest and biggest of this years line up. 

Alas, due to cloudy weather, I won't be able to see it. Sigh.

All my womb fruits have an admiration and love of the mOOn.

As do I.

According to The G~Man's working co~horts, yes, pEEps do act a
Little Bit Crazier crazy on a Full moon.

I like to think more on an Amorous~Crazy~for~You kind of mOOd

You won't even need candle light!

Full moon rituals are my favored and most pleasant rituals I ever do. Much of it has to do with the simplicity of it. Full moons are also a time for letting go, cleaning house, Soul or otherwise.
{and who wants negativity any day, especially if its going to be a Holiday}
This is a grand time to do Wolf magic also.

Burning bits of paper~ Write down on pieces of paper the things You want to cleanse from Your life. Close eyes, take a deep breath, and burn it,
Burn baby Burn.

 

Smudge Smudge~ a big fat smudge stick is needed here. Make sure you carry around some type of container to catch the ash as you walk through your house and smoke it out. I leave my windows and doors open for this also. Nothing like chasing out the Negatives with some blessed smoke. Start in the furtherest corner of your house and walk through. I open up cabinet doors and closets also and make sure the Smudge smoke gets in. If your gonna clean, clean it right! What ever Spiritual or Religious philosophy you associate with, there is always a prayer or chant for purging, cleansing, and healing. {these are really good smudge sticks>

Salt bath by Candlelight ~ Sea salt and candles. The Salt purifies and the Flames from the candle burn away the bad energy. Just to clarify, You bath with the Salt, and burn the candles! Make sure You have enough time to relax and  think about what You want to get rid of and change.

Candles ~ a simple lone white candle can have some pretty powerful energy. Especially if placed in or near a window in the mOOnlight.

If You have the time, A nice cleaning of the Humble House~ a good wipe down, vacuum, 

mop the kitchen floor; 

Open up some windows and doors, even if its just for a few minutes 

{I am totally aware of you all who live in snow, but You too!). 

The attic fan that was put in our house when it was built in 1953 still works, and you can bet i use it to my advantage!
