I made them from one of my favorite PaPers

These types of charms are verra easy to make.
All you need is {besides the LoVe!}

Rainy Day Froggalicious

I ToTally LOVE these Froggies.
Great fun on a Rainy Day...
and we've been having LOTS of them.

The CoLoR combinations are
Never~ending.
Between the Dye and the GLiTTER!
I can produce a whole Rain Forest.

Thanks to the new Dremel Work Station
the Chook Man gifted Me with,
I can now add lots of Shiny Decorative Stuff
to make these Froggies sing.

But what I really want to do
is make brOOches out of them
and wear 5 at one time,
a whole Frolic of Froggies
....GrOOvy.

Butterfly, Sugar...

From the Studio in Kelly's Frontier....

This is a project I've been working on for awhile.
Using patterned papers, I snap out some Butterfly cut~outs,
GLiTTeRize them,
then carefully dip them in Resin.
I'm still working on the Resin part.

The possibilities are endless....
I'm thinking these would make a great mobile for a Child's rOOm.

Seashell Trinket Treasure tray

I had these left over shell bowls
from the ball
not to mention,
but will,
all those damn
Mardi Gras beads!

What the hell am I supposed to do with them?
Then I decided, Hey, why not make a Trinkets Tray.
Supplies:
*************
Resin
Decorative plastic Sea Shell
Plastic Beads, assorted;
Large White Beads for the "pearl", cut 1 from strand
Decorative Rocks, plastic or glass
Star beads/sequins/charms
GLiTTeR
Glue

First thing to do is fill the bottom.
Toss your Decorative Rocks in,
and mix up your Resin.

Once the Resin is ready,
pour over the rocks to just cover them.
I had a few bumps where the resin didn't
quite cover and it was fine.
Not enough ~ just mix a bit more
Too much ~ make up a few pendants
I also poured a bit of resin the seam
of the two Shells to secure it.
Sprinkle just a wee bit of GLiTTer in.

Depending on what type resin you use,
around 10 to 15 minutes,
check the set.
Remember the Prell commercial where they put the pearl in it?
you want that kind of thick.
Set your Stars and your Pearl in the resin.
Sprinkle a wee bit more GLiTTer on the resin.

Once the Resin has completely cured/dried,
start gluing your Decorative Beads for trim.
I used one strand of Pink for the upper Shell
and cut three strands of Gold for the seam.

ah, Cher', you've got a treasure!

LoVe in Punk

Resin Hearts ~ two of my favorite subjects.

Chunky, rock glitter, splash of Cherry.
They would make a righteous ring, too.

 Left: LoVe Potion #13
Right: Punk Rock Heart

 Peace, LoVe, & GrOOviness.

Meester Meoww....

meet Meester Meoww.

a rather cranky yet LoVable creature who wants nothing more than to
curl up with a cuppa warm chai and a good mystery.

Alas, trouble has a way of finding Him.
Then he has to go Flying Elvis NiNja on them,
things get messy....
sigh.

and please,
don't take his picture.

Roger, Roger! We have blast off...

 Resin Rockets

Here are some resin Rockets that I've been playing around with.
I've just about got the colors and placings exactly where I want them to be.
Yellow is being kind of snarky about toning up...

I always have fun with the clear castings.
The problem with the clear ones is the goofs show up much more.
Will that stop me?

hell no.
I am determined to figure this out.

You know that spot where You just know you've almost hit
Eureka!
I'm there.
Alas, all the rain we've been having, and the regular smothering humidty
has at this time put a "damper" {yep, I did!}
on the resin pouring.
Humidity and Dampness is no friend of Resin.

I want to finish these up by adding some type of brooch/pin backing.

Rockin Robot resin pendant

Supplies:
***********
Robot paper
White stock paper
India Ink
Bezel
Transfer sheet for frame~up cut out
Resin
Glue

Taking a piece of clear transfer paper, measure Your bezel and cut the square out.
Mark the edges with a dark marker for a frame~up.
Using Your frame~up, determine how You want to have the Robot look.
When positioned the way You would like, trace around Your frame~up with pencil.
Cut the Robot and two pieces of White stock paper;

Apply the India Ink to cover the background and make it uniform.
LiTTLe goes a Long way.
Once the Ink is dry, using a small amount of Glue,
layer the Robot paper and two pieces of Stock paper together and let dry.
Once the paper is dry, smear a small amount of Glue inside the Bezel and place Robot paper stock on the Glue, using Your finger to gently rub the paper stack to the Bezel.
Again, let dry.
Mix up Your Resin and pour into Bezel.

To get rid of BuBBLes, use a straw to gentle blow on the Resin
{and for goOdness sake! DON"T SUCK UP THE STRAW!}
or very carefully use a heat gun. Not To Close!
After the Resin is completely dry, usually over night at the least, if needed, mix up a small batch of Resin and touch up, put a final layer in the Bezel.
Add cord.
Its Out of this World......

Spirit of Ursa Yulemas ~ The Yulemas Bear

Bear is a great protector.
As a Child, Bear would scare Me.
As an Adult, I came to understand Bear,
She was there for Me, not to harm Me.

Wynter is a time for Resting, and Hibernation, a look inside..
A perfect Tyme, to become One with Bear,
To give Thanks;

Especially as We get closer to The Wynter Solstice.

This is the most Sacred time and will be the time of the Alban Arthuan, the Light of Arthur.  This is the Wynter Solstice, Yule or the Wheel of the Year.

In the ancient tales this would be when Bear travels into the dark places,  where We are scared to go, and retrieves the Sun from the Stag, Son of the Heavenly Doe.

Bear hibernates in the cold months, allowing access to the Unconscious in order to blend Introspection, Intuition and Instinct leading to attaining personal power.

This animal reveals the interrelationship between the Person: within the environment of creation, within the clan and within the universe.
Bear helps People recognize personal truth and strength, when to stand up for rights and when to walk away.
It imparts Inner Knowledge that makes it possible for People to seek alternative paths to Their goals.

She represents Primal Power and defends with fierceness from all dangers; She has the ability to use Intuition to find Truth.
This Primal Power and Intuition merge into one uniting Star.

The Yulemas Bear is a reminder to go within,
to find it,
use it,
Become One with it.
Let that Star Shine....
and She does it all with LoVe!
{hence, the Heart at the center of Her crown}

 Printed On Card:
Spirit of Ursa Yulemas {The Yulemas Bear}
She represents Mother, a Fierce Protector, especially of Her Young.
She blends Introspection, Intuition, and Instinct so You can recognize Personal Truth.
She is most powerful during the Yulemas Season,
with Her power the greatest on Wynter Solstice,
Her most Sacred Time.
In Her Hibernation, or Dream Time,
She goes into the darkest places where We are scared to go, and brings back the Light.
She is Strength (or primal power) and Intuition
merged into One Uniting Star, that radiates forth.

Priscilla's Heart Starburst

Priscilla's Heart Starburst

As I've mentioned in previous bloggerts,
I have a dEEp FondneSS for Resin and its abilities.
And GliTTer makes it a Divine FondneSS.
GliTTer just glams up anything!

I found these really nice Bezels at hoBBy loBBy by
Jewelry Shoppe.  Currently, they are not available,
so I am once again on the look~out for new places
to buy Le BezeLs. These bezels appealed to Me
due to their depth, which, pleasingly, are deep.
Bezels,
{much like a pristine, blank canvas screaming for Me to PAINT IT!!}
set My Imagination off with all kinds of Wild Ideas.

Ideas to create this Miniature Story,
this tiny Window of Art,
and caRRy it around with Me.

The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert
is a movie I adore. With its Glitz and Glam set against the Desert, and sometime Dreary MoMents in Life.
Who doesn't need some Sparkle???

So in homage to all those Priscillas',
I gathered the eSSenTials:
********************************
A Bezel
Fairy Dust GliTTer in Fuschia
Sequin Star Flower in Silver
Confetti Heart in Deep Pink
Easy Cast resin
Disposable mixing cups
Wooden sticks
Glue
Bit of Clay
Safety glaSSes

First, take the tiniest dab of glue,
and glue the Heart into the center of the Star Flower.
Set it aside to dry.

Using a bit of clay, anchor Your Bezel
to Your work surface, and looking at each side,
make sure it is LeveL.
This helps the Resin not pool and run over.

Easy Craft is a 1 to 1 ratio mix.

Using Your Disposable cups, pour equal amounts of each,
into its own individual cup (left picture).
RESIN HAS FUMES!
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE PROPER VENTILATION!
Pour each one into a Single Cup and mix for 2 minutes.
DON'T BE A SLACKER!
TWO MINUTES, ITS WORTH IT!

Then pour that mixture into a new cup and mix for about 30~45 seconds.

Time to get SaSSy!
Add Your GliT~Ter!!

I don't have an exact amount, I just go by appearance.
If, when I stop stiRRing, and the Resin settles,
if it looks like theres a lot of clear resin on top,
I will add another pinch.
Watch Your amount though, because it could possibly mess up the set.
Using My wOOden mixing stick as a spOOn,
I driZZle the GliTTered Resin into the Bezel.
I use the half way point as my guide.
You don't want to fill it to much because when You go to add
Your embedded object, it will stand out too much, creating
a rough surface, and creating a resin run off.

I Let the resin sit for a few minutes, and then add one more pinch of GliTTer.
This gives me a really nice solid, showy GliTTer background.
Wicked Sparkles!

Once that layer has set up, about 30~45 minutes,
I remove any excess GliTTer, give it a gOOd puff of breath to blow the GliTTer off
and then I take my
heart starburst with the tiniest dib of glue
and glue it in the Bezel.
Give at least 20 minutes to dry, you don't want Your treat to float up.
Mix up another tiny batch of clear Resin and using your mixing stick ,
driZZle some into the Bezel.
Very carefully, drop a few drops of Resin into the center
til you get a nice even flat surface
or a soft mound.
Don't over pour, You can always go back and add a thin layer.
The thin layers also help any blemishes or scratches that may have happened.
Old soft craft brushes are great for this.

Let set over night and there ya go.

Ghosty Pins

I LOVE RESIN......

The first time I ever used resin was in the mid 70s when an older brother of mine, had bought some. He let me use some for a Mothers Day project to give to my Grandmother (a dried gumball from her gumball tree). She kept till about 13 years ago, when She gave it back to Me, to keep, because She didn't want it to be thrown away)........I still have it.

It was AWWWEESOME!

I've come along way since then, using tints and colors, and making my own molds!

Using a Ghost mold that I made Me Self,
I mixed up some white resin to pour and then set.
When the resin was set, I PoPPed them out and let them "cure" for another few days,
just to make sure that it was completely dry.

Next step was to mix up some black resin,
and VERY CAREFULLY!
using a tOOthpick, drop the black resin into the eyes and mouth.

Once the black resin was dry, I adhered the pin backs to the Ghost and let that dry.

I mixed up a small batch of clear resin, to dip the Ghosts in as a final coat.
BUT I MADE A MISTAKE!
I figured if I dipped them in the clear batch with the pin on, it would act as an extra setting for the pin, but the resin was messy and coated the pin so they don't open.
After GENTLY prying the pins from the Ghosts, I reglued them.
If you want, you can mix a small batch of clear resin and using a small paint brush,
brush the resin around the pin base.

and Voila!

Ghost Pins.
