Priscilla's Earthly Delights ~ 8

This has been an especially Grand! Earthly Delights day......
Made especially so, that for Once!
the patience i so sturdily and grumpily put forth , paid off.

Margit Brandt pattern, Butterick 6462

When I first started buying Vintage Patterns, I came across this one by Margit Brandt.
The Coat was exactly what I had been looking for.
I put it in my favorites, not yet decided on it, and of course, someone bought it.
Aaand I couldn't find another one.

Until now.
about a year later.
I was doing my pattern search and it popped up.
I snagged it!
Signed, Sealed, Delivered!

Kenzo pattern, Butterick 4259

Priscilla says, this has Sunday Cocktails written allll over it.
I have to agree.
It has that 80s feel with the 1930s/40s touch.
For Me, anyway.
The first outfit on the left reminds me of Senior Year.
It was one of my favorites.

The second outfit is totally
Sunday Cocktails with the Girls.
Bloody Marys,  good music, great food.....Relaxation.
Even Priscilla needs a day without the makeup.
{Doesn't mean you can't still look good.}

Strange Invisible perfume

One of the Blogger Betties that I follow, {London MakeUp Girl}
posted about the perfume brand Strange Invisible.
The scent was Magazine Street, inspired by New Orleans, which had my Heart right there;
but then one thing She really liked about this was it was good to her perfume~sensitivity; also a really big problem for Me.
Luckily, they have trial sizes, for a few dollars.
I ordered two, one for Me, and one for The Man.
I really do like Magazine Street.
It's a nice break from The~everyday~scent.
It is expensive for the regular sizes,  perfect for Yulemas, or Anniversary, or Birthday.

I have fun playing around with Fused Glass in my Studio.
  I found these glass molds at Delphi Glass.
You probably know by now, that I have a thing for Hearts, and for Bears too....and most of My Friends and People I Know are fanatics about Their Saints.
So, why not.....I'll get some black and gold glass
and make em some paperweights or something.

Be warned though!  The description says "Kiln wash before use".
What it doesn't say is that You are supposed to use the Primo Primer Kiln Wash.
I broke my Heart mold the first time I used it, using regular kiln wash.
When I called to see about a replacement the Customer Service Lady told Me,
I needed the Primo Primer.

Yes, yes, it has been quite a Delightful Day..

Priscilla's Earthly Delights ~ 7

 Priscilla is Quite excited over one of this weeks Treasure finds!
Oh My.

This time around I picked up two patterns that were on My Favorites list
and one "ooohhh, I really like that!" pattern.

McCalls 3911 and McCalls 4304 had been parked on the Favorites for a bit.

Long Skirts are hunky dory in My boOK.
One good pair of jeans, One great long skirt
and Your wardrobe is halfway complete
{ok, well, maybe stretching it with that one, but its close!}

The Wrap Shirt is just cracker jack, too.

I liked the 30s/40s feel this pattern had, especially the first outfit.
I'm really keen on that Print, too.

                                       McCalls 6053
 I'm pretty sure I bought this one because I was suckered in with the art work.
{ooohhh, I really like that!}
It was the Blue outfit.
I'm thinking, Heavenly for the Beach.

From one of my favorite Etsy shops,
these BaBe~licious earrings are so CooL.
If I was a flavor I would be Raspberry
These earrings just scream Raspberry.
Plus, that's the name of them...Sweet Raspberries.

and so We come to Priscilla's Excitement.
These Brown Bag Cookie Molds, especially the Bird.
Priscilla pulled out the big guns {bedazzled and all} and had to be SniPPy to acquire this one.
Upon finding a Holiday Project using this particular Bird mold,
and deciding it would be oh~so perfect for next Yulemas, its was a done deal.
After weeks of Googling and Ebaying and Etsying...it poPPed up unexpectedly.
Priscilla went 'Mando;

The Sheep was just too damn Cute to pass up.
I am fond of leaving Sheep coOkies for The Santa Man on Yulemas EvE
{and it was a really great deal on ebay}

Lagniappe:
I have really long hair, and like the occasional pin up.
I think the Vintage Hair styles are great, most especially those roLLups.
On a recent trip to Sally's I grabbed this up to play around with.
I had a fancy one {properly called a SnOOd}  that I wore for My Brother's wedding oh so many years ago, and I loved it.
I guess the word for the day is "Practice"...and lots of bobby pins.

Priscillas Earthly delights ~4

 Priscilla is a happy girl.
An extra special bonus has Her eyes a GLiTTeR.

Continuing with the Vintage Pattern CoLLection,
I've added these.

The first pattern I've had on the fave list a few months now.
I'm particularly excited about the dress.
I already have the fabric for it, some beautiful crepe fabric The Turkish Mother bought in,
wait for it.....Turkey! about 15~20 years ago. Its actually very close to the print of the picture.
Lucked Up on the second pattern.
 Just plain fell in LoVe with the third.
I need to find a pretty pink gingham, perhaps....
and it will fit in with the summer set I bought a few weeks ago for our beach trip!

I love to bake cakes and pies.
If you love to bake cakes and pies,
One should have something sturdy and easy to transport them
or keep them fresh.
I went on this cake plate, stand, carrier moment
and wound up with this cutie.
Very retro, it fits with my house {circa 1953}.
will definitely be worth its weight in gold
just to keep the meringue on the lemon pies from sticking to EVERYthing!

Priscilla's icing on Her confetti cake are these scrumptious
polishes. Its the Finger Paints Holiday 2009 CoLLection.
The CoLoRs are Divine!
Just enough sparkle and shimmer to please even the hardest Priscilla.
Shimmy shimmy coco bop...

Sally's Beauty Supply had them.
Bonus:  $1.99 per bottle; normally $5.49.
I basically bought one, got two free!
AND! They had one of every color.

{see blog listed below for really great color swatches}

Lagniappe:
Discovered this cute fairy party book at the library.
A handful of candles from our favorite Spritiual shop.

Priscilla's Earthly Delights ~ 3

Priscilla is quite excited about these!

For our Vintage, this fabulous uncut pattern for Pajamas.
I'm totally into all three sets.
I'm also thinking, of making the halter top/pants combo for Our beach trip this summer.
Great cover up, easy on, easy off.
Make the short set for LiTTLe Me.

I picked up this punch that makes a miniature BuTTerFly cut~out.
I don't have a clue how I missed this great little book of multi colored stock paper.
Perfect size to try out new ideas for PaPer projects.
Bonus: on sale for 1/2 price!

These Flower Beads instantly knocked down a wall I had come to, with these fantastic ring blanks I bought over a year ago.  Of course, We all know how things look on paper......
but I am Optimistic. Yes, Yes I am.

These next Delights have Priscilla all a~glow with Excitement.
If all goes well, there's a Really~F'n~Special Day on the Horizon that will ToTaLLy Rock!,
if I puLL it off!
Any Priscilla worth Her GLiTTeR knows,
that it's the DETAILS that bring it all together, Darling.

The Reason: 10 year weDDing Anniversary
The Details:  1970s Baby Blue Empire Waist Dress with Cinderella Dressings
The Plan: Renew Vows at Elvis Chapel in Vegas

Cinderella Dressings:

Now all thats left is picking the right shoes.........OoOoOh Pri~scil~la!!

Priscilla's Earthly Delights ~ 2

Treats for the Sweets.....Priscilla's been gathering
sweet things again. With two verra special pieces.

The first being that LoVeLy
*Pink Currant*
necklace I posted on PINK.
Yes, yes indeed.
This has to be My most Delicious Treat out of this bunch. The picture does it not justice.

Second, but running so close a race to One it might as weel be a tie.....this Over the mOOn Vintage pattern.
And the GLiTTeR Icing on this cupcake~its UNCUT. Not to mention, but Will! is I keep thinking about the infamous Pink Bunny suit from Christmas Story. How cool would it be to make one for each of the Kidletts for next Christmas?? yeah?

One of the coolest Shirts I ever owned was a Black and White Referee soCCer shirt. I have a thing for Black clothing with White coLLars and cuFFs....
When I first found the Mccalls pattern , that's what I immediately thought of.
The long sLeeve version would be top notch for that idea. The short sleeve I imagine in a Dark Blue print, but unsure of collar.
The Simplicity pattern is also UNCUT! This Shirt Dress Style is what I'm into lately. It's seems to be a great figure flatter~er~ist....The Modcloth version I wore on New Years is very similar. Plus, the color versions on the envelope really drew Me in. I envision one of each..{ a Girl can dream!}

The SugarPoP LOVEs clothes! She will not hesitate to point our what She would like.
This is what She pointed out.
Ok, so I asked Her, if she liked, ....She liked.
The Simplicity Pink {first on left} is going to be Our first project. Its perfect for creating a Wardrobe for the Beach this Summer. The objective is to make 5 of the outfits. In Pink, Darling. Nothing else will do.

and Priscilla's Lagniappe....some new Rainbow color Markers.
I use these for glamming up My calendar;
You know, all those Wonderful things like Birthdays, Events, BiLLs even. Nothing like writing that payment in Yellow or Bright Pink to just make it all nice and cheery~
We have another successful satisfying of the sweet tOOth.

Priscilla's Earthly Delights ~ 1

Every Darling should take a ShoPPing Holiday...and as often as possible.
{After you take care of bills, of course.
Priscillas' must put priorities first to indulge in the Delights}

When My Oldest and I were Two peas in the pod of Our humble home, those days would come on Tax Refund and Student Loans. We'd splurge a little, go out to eat, do some treasure hunting, go to the bookstore, or a movie.
Or maybe even buy the video!
{oh the excitement of a new video!}.
Really lets You appreciate the things you do get.  Now a days, I'm lucky enough to be able to do a little more shopping, but the appreciation is still there.
Here are My Treasures for Today's Earthly Delights:

These charming, accidentally discovered dishes. All the way from Rome. I want to try and collect as many pieces as I can to put in My Daughters Make~This~House~A~Home Secret Stash. I have also started one for My two older Sons, and they are based on their favorite colors.
Pink, Of course, is Hers.

I'm a big fan of Thayer's Rose Witch Hazel, and spotted the Lavender scent at Whole Foods, and just thought "oooohhhhh".
I think it would go really well with French Green Clay
{I order my clay through Mountain Rose Herbs}

I was also out of my Burts Bees Moisturizing Cream.
So was Whole Foods.
I desperately needed something for my parched face and decided on Kiss My Face Honey & Calendula lotion.
I was skeptical at first, due to having oily skin,
I have to be careful with the grease factor
{which is why i love Burts Bees, soaks in quick, with no residue}.
But Desperation is being Desperate, right?
And besides, I like Kiss My Face.
Surprise!!! Although it does go on a bit "wetter" than Burts Bees, its soak factor seems to be quicker. Sigh of relief and a wooHoo for that!

Also picked up a few packs of these really pleasant Incense sticks. These are nice when you want a soft to moderate smoke and scent. You're house will love you for it!

Sewing is on my New Additions to the Life's Resume for this year. I've been collecting some vintage patterns since last year.
I found this on Etsy, thought the Cupcake would like it;
I was wrong.....She Loved it.
I'm really looking forward to this one since it will require My MoM to help, from which I will learn, and Cupcake will be there, learning also. Especially since She got Her first sewing machine from Santa this year.

and, a walnut brownie.
A Sit down Cup of CoFFee~Mystery bOOk~Snack to My Self~Walnut Brownie.
Dat is true!
it was YummY, too.
{hence, no picture}
