but I caught on the next go round}

Decorating the Tree, Grinches, and Shreking the Halls

The tree is up, 
Lights are hung and glowing,
It's time for some tree fashion.

When my oldest one was little, 
I was drawn to some decorative plastic popcorn and cranberry garland. 
Kind of pricey, and, of course, plastic.
Being a single mom, money was verra tight.

Fresh PoPcorn and CranbeRRies go a Long way for a LiTTLe bit...

and there is where Our tradition of PoPcornCranberry Garlands began.

After The Man set the Tree, Mamma Me strung the Lights.

The the Sugar Plums and I sat down to start stringing. 

If You've never strung a garland before, it can seem tedious. 

Once You get the hang of it, and yes, 
there is some hang to get! 

Its amazing how long of garland You can make in no time. 

Especially if You have company

Especially if You have Holiday Music or Shows playing.

And You don't have to overload Your tree for the Garland to have impact. We don't even circle around the tree. 

we drape it in the front.

Time for showers, and pjs.

Then the Gatherment of Snuggle

for viewing of much loved Vintage Tv.

As in The Grinch.

and some viewing of new Tv

As in Shrek the Halls

{which was actually quite fuNNy}

 

A mix of the Old and the New.

Isn't that what passing on Traditions are for?

And aren't Traditions for making?

They have to start somewhere.

The Tree looks LoVeLy as it is.....but there is more to come!

A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving

A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving ~ 1973

 Another Time honored, Quintessential, Holiday classic.

At one time or another, We have probalby all had a Thanksgiving like this.
I don't mean We had Toast and PoPcorn, 

or.....

Maybe we have.

 





But more a Gathering of NoN~Traditional Sort.

Friends, Holiday Orphans, and the Odd Distant Relative of a Friend,

or,  Your own.

And it all worked out in the end.

Perhaps, even beTTer than a family dinner.

These Charlie Brown Thanksgiving's can be aDDictive, (singsong)

I haven't bought these on dvd, yet.
I still like for My Womb Fruits to have the excitement and anticipation of waiting for the Holiday shows, and then watching Them all together. How about Toasting up some Toast, and PoPPing uP some PoPcorn, and 
gather around to watch.
There's always something to be Thankful for, and I just named a few of Mine.

 Remember when You had to wait the WHOLE Year! to watch this CLaSSiC?

Even though This and all The Other Shows are available on dvd's, 

We stick to TradiTion.

October 1st.........Game On. 

I can still remember, probably beTTer than Yesterday, laying on the floor, Excited,

watching the show on a big ole 27 inch Zenith or RCA, you know, where you actually

had to turn the KNOB to get to a different channel, ahhahahahaa.........

(sigh) Ahhh, Memories.

I had a great Childhood. 

I consider that Lucky;

and Blessed.

This was part of it.

Even as a child, Halloween was only second to Christmas.

And pretty much my whole childhood

was spent trick or treating as a WITCH.

Welll, somethings the Universe knows before Us.

If not all! lol

Now I get to pass on all of these Traditions and Memories to my WombFruits.

It warms the Heart and really does make the Day better.
