Lips like SPriNg...

My second favorite time of year for Beauty SuPPLies is Spring
{Wynter is tops!}

On a trip to Sephora last week,
I picked up these 2 new LipSticks.

You may or may not know,
how I lament the passing of The 90s Lipstick,
or 80s for that matter.
The luscious color saturated cream that never seem to go dull.
You could follow my trail by the BrightAss Pink Lipmarks
that would put a paper trail to shame.

I am forever on the lookout for those elusive lipsticks.
Everything is some kind of "gloss" or version of it.
Listen, if I wanted GLoSS,
I'd hit the Maybelline Kissing Potion ~ roll on BayBE!

I digress...

The first one is Make Up for Ever in #15.
It is pure and simple, Violet.
I fell in LoVe with it the second I saw it.
It's a Pearly Violet and is a touch sheer,
 but has enough coverage
that it is one grOovy Lipstick.
And it stands out too~
in a very Feminine Punk kind of way.
I really slathered it on to catch the
Violet hue.

This is definitely my Spring lip color.
Especially for a hot date with The Chook.

This next one is a Sephora Brand ~
Sephora Rouge in LoVe TesT.

This is fairly close to the Punk Pink
I used to wear in the 80s
and the Dark Pinks of the 90s.

When I tested it at the store,
it was a lipstick,
creamy with loads of color.

When I got home, the new one seemed much more sheer,
so I whacked off the tip, and got to the good stuff.
LoVe TesT is a great day lipstick.

Both lipsticks seemed normal in all the other departments:

*Longevity ~ normal: Same as most other lipsticks

*Moisture ~ normal: Doesn't seem to dry out my lips

*Prices ~ normal:
Make Up For Ever #15                  $19
 Sephora Rouge LoVe TesT            $12

I say, RoLL on in Spring,
make the World as pretty as I feel!

The Make Up ~

 Rock On, Chicks~

I've been looking for a really great reason to
wear this.
Now I have one.

I've been ADDICTED to
Black EyELiner
since I was in 7th grade.
My best friend at
the time had a black
eyeliner pencil that
she would sneak bring
to school,
and I would put it on in the Girls bathroom.....
and try to remember to remove it before I got home!

The one time I forgot, The Turkish Mother said
very little, and my stocking was full of make up that year!

Add to that little tidbit, that I absolutely ADORE Cat eyes.

Now that the Womb Weebles are back in school
{you can hear all the parents give a collective sigh of relief!}
I'll have some time to experiment.

Another fun make up toy I have is this lovely ~ The Luminess Airbrush kit.
Yes, Yes, my sister in law and My Self have been the recipient of many of my mother's insomina~cal QVC shopping sprees.
Although I don't wear base on a daily basis anymore,
this little thing is great for THOSE kind of parties.
I've only used it a few times,
but it does seem to give a really
nice matte coverage
that looks natural and helps keep the
rest of the make up to stay put.
There's also this great little bottle of
Luminescent spray that
I'm hoping to wear for the Ball.

Lipstick,
I'm thinking maybe,
either
Raspberry Bite
or
Cherries in the Snow.

oh Darling, give us a kiss!!

Black

September may be an odd month for the color Black,
but in my little "black" book! {wink wink}
its the time to prepare for the Party Season ahead.
Classic Black....the go to for the gotta go.

Long CooL Woman in a Black Dress ~ The Hollies!!!

I've really been enjoying all these plastic flower jewelry bits.
Roses are my favorite. With a white dress or white button~up
this necklace would really stand out.
Black Roses are so beautifully dramatic.

I really do love wall decals and decor.
I had Snow White and the Seven Dwarves,
on my wall as a little girl.
This forest wall decal reminds Me of Snow White all grown up.

Tea, anyone?

of course, for all that stepping out, You need shoes!

Casual and fun, chompa chomp chomp
Smart Casual, for that Lunch  or Movie Date
Snazzy! for the Date Date...just brings out the Sassy

Sheer is Sexy.

Here's something for you Animal lovers to up the Quirk factor!
A Doggie Bag!

Anything TaSSLed, sends Me back to Childhood.
{that late 60s, early 70s upbringing}
This Tassled Choker is Naughty and Nice.
It would pair great with the Snazzy shoes and Black EyEliner...
and Nothing else.
I know, right?
I did say Party......

This is one of My All~time Favorite Black Eyeliner for Parties.
The lines are nice and thick,
and the staying power is really pretty decent.
worth the price.
I use CoverGirl's liquid EyEliner when I want a more permanent line
or if I want to do Cat EyEs...meow.

Speaking of Cat EyEs....
These CatEye sunglasses are a regular staple in The Accessories.
Along with my Wayfarers!
Cool and Hip....
Hello, Kitten.

If you must cover up, here's a Coat for You.
It's very long and that pattern is just Delicious.
Oh MY My, Oh Hell Yes,
Got to put on that party dress....
Let the Festivities begin!

Priscilla's Earthly Delights

Today's treats are simple, yet still delightful.

A nail polish with vintage all over it
A nice navy blue eyeshadow,
both courtesy of Sally's Beauty supply.

FaLL colors are in abundance at this time
in the World of Beauty and Fashion.

These should go nicely with several pieces
I have picked out for the Autumn/Wynter  Wardrobe.

Bogie ~ by China Glaze
*************
The nail polish is this gorgeous Earth tone Smokey Plum....
it really shines the deep purple when the light hits it.
I think it will work really well to add some
coLor to some of the more neutral toned clothing I have.
Seems to wear pretty well, also.
It remind me of the 1940s,
not because it's named Bogie...
it make me think of
a Woman's nice suit, or a LoVeLy evening gown.

Navy ~ by Sally's
*************
I'm not usually a fan of the dark Blue Eyeshadow,
this one seemed different.
For a $1, it didn't hurt to try it out.
It has GLiTTeR in it,
I'd say, moderate...
{Priscilla approves for Cocktails!}
but it's the underlying soft violet, Periwinkle~ish,
that really comes out,
creating this Dusky evening feeling.
and the GLiTTeR enhances that.

I would definitely wear a Black EyEliner
with this for Night.
I would definitely play around with this
and a BabyBlue Eyeliner for day...

There's a whole lot of Smokey and Sultry
mixed up in the blues and purples.
...which makes for some smokey sultry nights!

Priscilla's Earthly Delights ~ 11

Chantecaille.
I discovered this brand while trying
to find out what make~up was used
in the movie Sherlock.
Back on our Vegas trip,
I was lucky that the Neiman Marcus
there carried this brand in
the color I wanted.
Lip Chick in Damask.

This was my Anniversary treat
for Chantecaille is not cheap.
I also treated my Self to The Mascara.

The Lipstick is nice but more of a day wear
for Me. It is sheer and more gloss.
If I were to wear it at Night
I would layer it over a dark lip stain.
They do carry the more cream/matte lipsticks
and I will be trying that soon.

A bonus feature was the Faux Cils Mascara.
It is THE best Mascara I had ever worn.
It's pricey also.
$38.
I LoVe it so much, I will buy it again.
A comparable less
expensive version
would be
Benefit's BADgal Lash Mascara.

I told My Self that I would save it
for Dates with The Man, and Specials Days and Such,
but that didn't hold out very long.

The mascara just goes on so well,
I can do one coat for daytime,
and then Priscilla can double up
for more dramatics in the evening.

Chantecaille is now a permanent fixture
in My Make Me Beautiful Beauty Bits .
