Lucy Stone Mysteries by Leslie Meier

Whether it's the lazy days of Summer,
or the crawling into Fall
{and hopefully some cooler weather soon}
the Lucy Stone series is a nice way to spend the day.
One thing I really! like about this series
is that the timeline proceeds on a real time basis.
I hate when a writer spends twenty years
writing a book and only 5 have passed.

The Stone series
is a low key,
typical small town series,
with your typical small town characters,
as far as Murder Mysteries go.

Lots of soft humor, and real time mentions
of things happening at the time the story was written,
help carry the series. I found my Self thinking back to
what I was doing in my Life at that time.
Adds a dose of Reality.
Check out this series if you need a little down time
just to veg and tune out for a bit.

Velvet Flocking

What the Flock?
and I arrrn't talking Seagulls.

I was verra excited to try this out
for some vintage~inspired Yulemas ornaments

Velvet Flocking.

Expensive as hell, $17,
but with your 40% off coupon at the hob lob
{the Chook Man~hubs actually put the coupon on my phone desktop thingy}
I figured it was worth it.

So far, I'm not having much luck on the Ornaments.
The flocking is disappearing when it dries.
I'm not sure what the problem is,
but am working on it.

I'm deciding more that the Flock
would be nicer on my Yulemas cards than the Ornaments
I'll post a post on the cards soon.

I'll also know more about if it's really worth it
to spend the money after trying it on a couple more projects.

Finger Paints STuNNiNg STiLLeTos Polish

This is the CooLest Grey I have seen.

I became interested in a Grey polish
after seeing an actress on tv wearing it.

After checking a few Bettie Bloggers reviews,
I picked Finger Paint's Stunning Stilletos

The color is verra nice,
and I think it's because it doesn't go flat
when it dries.

It's Crisp.

I am proud to say,
that I was one of the few ChiCks in town
wearing Black polish back in the day
{the 80s Days to be precise}
and
I'm still a fan of Black polish,
now I like to reserve it for really specially Faaancy times;
This Grey is like Black takes a cozy holiday at home.
Take out instead of Night out.

The CoLor is also a nice day color,
pairing with simple silver jewelry.

Worth the try if you're looking for this shade.

PrisciLLa's EaRThLy DeLighTs

 Hollycraft Rhinestone Tree BroOch

  My new excitement these days,
are vintage Yulemas Tree brooches.

After seeing a few in other searches,
and really building up an Affection for them.
I was like, Self, you need to check this out.

This is my first Tree,
and,
It's, just Delicious.

There isn't anything to not like about this piece.
At any moment I just expect each one
of those jeweled Flowers to float off
like tiny stars....
{Priscilla says: Get off the Cloud!}

The Sparkaliciousness is off the charts, too.
Which I hear,
is Good for catching Santa's attention...

My FaVoRiTe tOOLs ~ DriLLmaster MiNi Cut.oFF Saw

This gives new meaning to CHopCHop!!
In my never ending quest to find tools to help me create faster,
yet more professionally,
I found this cheeky little chopper at Harbour Freight
{Harbour Freight hookers! Stuff my stockings!}

The only drawback is the cut width is only 3/4 inches
which means I have to turn most of my pieces to cut all the way through.
With practice, the cut becomes a bit cleaner.
I don't stress too much over it,
due to the fact that Sanding will take care of the rough edges.
The goal is to save time in the cutting department and it serves this purpose.

For about 25$
{and you can use the coupons online
if you order due to out of stock in store}
I do get my money's worth.

Coplu

 While working on the SiSter's, mOon, & such posts,
I am usually Lucky, to cyber stumble upon a new Artist,
that really appeals to Me.
I came upon Coplu while working on the SiSter's last post.
 His work  contains all the elements I LoVe in Art:
*Whymsical
*Rich CoLor
*Simplicity with impact

and being Turkish was an added Bonus!
{which I just discovered while cutcopypaste~ing his site}
Let's face it,
you can never have to much Inspiration.
Anything to smidge or nudge you on
is well worth it.
That is what this art does for Me.
