FuLL mOOn ~ May ~ Flower Moon

  Flower mOOn

In most areas, the Flowers are abundant everywhere.
Thus, the name, Flower mOOn.
Other names include the Full Corn Planting Moon, or, The Milk Moon.

The energies around this moon are ones of
Health, Romance, LoVe, and Wisdom.
You are encouraged to begin action on things we've recently been planning.

Time to Celebrate!!!

The May full moon is a time when we begin to really notice more light in our lives.
The days are longer, the grass is green and the flowers are starting to bloom.
The energy at this time is playful and light, energetic and buoyant.

If you want to really celebrate this moon and the energy it brings,
you can do fun things like host a pot-luck with a spring theme
or visit your local elementary school and volunteer during art class.
{That sounds familiar!}

If you are looking for something more “magickal”,
light a green candle and meditate on your thankfulness for the feeling of renewal.

Personally, my favorite night time flower is The Moonvine or Moonflower.
Its in the same family as the Morning Glory, but blooms at night.
Very Enchanting.

Priscillas Earthly Delights ~ 10

This time Priscilla is giving back.
{wink}

For our anniversary
The Chook Man totally scored some righteous Man~bath supplies.

Who da Man?
He da Man!

He's interested in Musk, and I've been wanting to buy him Kiehls Musk.
I've consistently heard good things about them.
For the Trip, the treats included the Scent, the Body Cleanser, the Lotion.

Free Samples, too....which is always a Plus!

In our foray to The Mall for My Treats, We a~spied the Kiehls counter right across the aisle.
Having already enjoyed their products, He added to it.
The Shave Cream,  The Close Shavers, and a Facial Fuel.

omg. The layering is just Heavenly.
Makes a Man smell good!

He is thoroughly enjoying them all.
As am I.

My Man, The Chook Man
{Chuck does all my stunts}
...after all,  what Man doesn't LoVe a little show of appreciation?

{I also make Him flex his muscles for Me.}
I know, right?

Last Day of School, Gifts, and Summer Officially starts at 3:47 pm....

wow.
today is a bit overwhelming.
I'm a bit teary today,
and that's something new.

It was great being so involved with my son's classroom and working with his teacher, Mr.L
Starting from last summer
when we painted the mural in his classroom,
to all the projects,
and roommothering...
I find it sad that it is ending.

Mr. L texted me early this morning
and asked me to come by the room,
he had something for me.
We get there and
he hands me this beautiful box from L'occitane1
THRILLS!

Inside were Two Rose soaps,
a Rose Shimmering lotion,
and a regular Lotion.
omg.

I LoVe Rose!
I LoVe anything Beauty related!
and
I LoVe ShiMMer.....

{Priscilla dabs her eyes; its just grand when someone shows they appreciate you by gifting you things that are totally them; it makes the gift doubly~bubbly}

There was also a gift card from all three 3rd grade teachers
for my favorite Coffee Shop,
as a treat for helping with the Leap testing.

I feel so Appreciated!

so we begin our Summer....

Two SiSters Mary Thoughts for the Day ~ May

Beltane
A Celebration of Wild Flowers, Bon Fires, and Pretty ribbons,
dancing around.
May morning is a magical time for Wild Water
{dew, flowing streams, and springs}
which is collected and used to bathe in for Beauty,
and to drink for Health.

Women traditionally would braid flowers into their hair.
Men and Women alike would decorate their Bodies.
Beltane marks the return of Vitality, of PaSSion.

A perfect time to bake or buy a fresh loaf of bread, a jar of honeycomb honey, a round of cheese, and have a evening picnic in front of fire.
Don't forget to wear flowers in your hair...

"In springtime,
LoVe is carried on the breeze.
Watch out for Flying Passion
or Kisses whizzing by your head."
~ Emma Racine de Fleur

"Face of the spring moon ~
 about twelve years old,
 I'd say."
~Koyobashi Issa

"The May pole is up,
Now give me the cup;
I'll drink to the garlands around it;

But unto those
Whose hands did compose
The glory of flowers that crown'd it."
~ Robert Herrick, The Maypole, 1660

"Every year, back comes Spring,
with nasty little birds yapping their fool
heads off and the ground all mucked up with plants."
~ Dorothy Parker

Typical Tourist Attractions

We did the walk through on The Strip.
I can't believe how much Vegas has changed since I lived there in the early 70s.
I had to ask the Shuttle Driver if that was the original Ceasar's Palace
as We drove by, because it was nothing like I remembered.
I think they shrunk the Fountains to a 1/3 of what it used to be.

I do like the "river" and was Very! tempted to do the Gondola Ride,
but we were on a mission, so off we went.
There is so much on the Strip that its overwhelming.
We just took a few shots of the ones we liked best.

Who wouldn't like to play on that!?
The floor show at the Rio. Well, the ceiling show.
The ride went around the casino while people wriggled around on it.
I wouldn't call it dancing.
It was interesting still.

The night sky lit up.
From the hotel and casino next to us.

It was like New Orleans on super steroids. But it was fun!

On our next trip I think we might just get a little bit more touristy and actually stay on the strip.

Road Trip Holiday Wardrobe & Accessories

Oh the joys of a perfect wardrobe....

This whole trip has just been Magical.
Everything that could go right......Did!

Many of these outfits, I've had for a few years, still with tags.
Saving for a big deal like this.

Many of the accessories were fairly new.
How much fun was it to play dress up....
A Lot!

I felt LoVeLy every day.

Blue Dress ~ perfect for the warm weather and tourist walk about.
Black Bag ~ roomy on the inside, and just the right size of big enough. Not like carrying a suitcase, but better than a wallet.

Black Wrap Dress ~ casual cool.  Exactly what's needed for a late afternoon / early evening night out to eat or Coffee Shop.

Printed Stockings ~ sassy hose with roses running up the sides.

Mary Janes ~ amazingly comfortable; made for walking.

My two absolutely favorite Evening Gowns that
I have waited FOREVER to wear.
Both dresses were from Forever 21.
The Purple Print dress was perfect for our first evening out.
The Silver Dress is what I wore to our night out at Penn & Teller.

Just some of the Fun Fashions I got to play around with.
Of course, Make~up, Shoes, and other Beauties made for a finished look.

ChEEsy Tourist Gifts and Souvenirs

I LOVE me some cheesy souvenirs,
I most especially LoVe ashtrays.

Yeah, well, we all have our quirks.

The LoVeLy little GLiTTeR bottle is from the Penn & Teller show.
Glamorized!

No, don't bring me a t shirt!
Damn it, bring Me an ashtray.

That whole retro feel,
the glaring Vegas logo,
and that nifty ass spring.

This is what I got all The Bigger Kids Who Claim to Be AD~ults.....
They loved them too.

They do SO much more than hold ciggy butts:
*they hold jewelry
*they hold coins
*they hold incense

yep, Ver~sah~tyle!

After The Chook Man, gathered up my fancy GLiTTeR bits,
I stuffed them, dried beer and all,
into this miniature Genie bottle for a Souvenir!

that way the Light sparkling off the GLiTTeR will match the sparkle in my Eye, as I fondle the bottle, and fondly recall that night.....

just call it Precious.

Yes, I LoVe Me some Cheesy Gifts and Souvenirs!

Penn & Teller ~ We Were There

The Turkish Mother totally scored on the present front
by purchasing us tickets to Penn & Teller for Our 10th Anniversary gift.
Front AND Center.

I had my outfit picked out..two months ago!

This day in its self was a Holiday,
one the Holiday HoHo queen was totally enjoying,
like Yulemas in May.

We relaxed,
I did the most complete and total Goddess Beauty Ritual, I could do.
Even my hair cooperated! muah!

It was Fantastic.

Teller picked me to help with a simple trick.
The Liquid~poured in Cone~turned to GLiTTeR bit.

I made Copper scoop the glitter up after the show! hahahahaha!
I did.
Really.

Turned it into a Cheesy Tourist Gift and Souvenir! yep there's a post!
It was our last night in Vegas and this was the surprise in the LiTTLe Blue Box.

Priscilla says Hell Yeah.

He was there.
But he ain't talkin.
So I will.

The G~nome G~Man is packed safely away in the carry on.
oh the indignity!

Finally, landed and roomed. Ahhh, the view.
How Fascinating!
Much better than the one I had on the Plane.

Nap Time

up and GnomeGroomed for the night...
I feel rather Sexy!
Let's get this GnomeGrOOve on.
geez, more freakin pictures!

At 4am, Mr. Gnome, whom has forgotten the woom kee, stumbles into the door
Whoopsadaisy!

{singing quite slurrily: the wheels on the bussss go round and round}
Mr. Gnome had a good time.

Back into the suitcase 20 minutes later for flight home.
That's Just Bull Honkery!

Not a happy camper.

Mr. Gnome is back at home gardening.

Elvis renews The Vows

Burning LoVe ~ Elvis

Todays the day.
After a very leisurely morning,
We made our reservations at the Wedding Chapel.
To renew our vows, by none other than Elvis.

But first we went shopping.
Did our tourist look~see on the strip,
took some pictures as we headed to the Mall.
Yeah yeah I know, but that's where the prize was.
The prize being a new lipstick for Me
and some more Kiehls for The Chook Man.
We loaded up on a few touristy gifts too.

After lunch we headed back to the room
where I commenced a Goddess Beauty Ritual
and we donned our wedding attire.
I've had this outfit planned for MONTHS!

We grabbed a taxi to our destination for our appointed meeting with the Great One.
And celebrated our Tenth Anniversary.

Afterward, We walked across the street to the Cuban Cigar shop
where The Chook Man celebrated by buying a cigar.
I celebrated by splurging on a pack of Clove Cigarettes from the head shop next door.

For the next hour, every where we went, Congratulations was heralded from high and low...

It was an evening I will never forget.

A new tradition was started with
The Turkish Mother and The Yankee Sister in Law..
We have decided that We will celebrate Mother's Day

Priscilla's Earthly Delights ~ 9

 Oh My! the Excitement...

Ok. I have never had new luggage before.
Never.
It was all hand me downs.
So The Chook Man treated the Little Girl in this Grown Up Me,
to a bit of Feminine Charm.

We went shopping!
I found these at Target.
They had both pieces in the set.
The Design and Colors were right up my Visual~sense~pleasing alley.
Very affordable too.

and then, there was the inside!
Luscious.

I'm not usually a fan of the Turquoise Blue,
but this really just complimented the outer design perfectly.
And the Pockets!
I was just looking for stuff to fill them.
I'm pretty sure I heard The Chook Man say something about
weights and limits...
Priscilla and I chose to ignore Him.

Maybe it's silly that at my age, a simple set of suitcases
could make Me so damn Happy.
They made me feel grown up, pulled together, classy..

it really is these simple things in Life that make it worthwhile.
